Terms of Use
These terms are the rules for using Codewaala. Please read them with your parent or guardian if you are under 18. By using Codewaala you agree to them.
यह सूचना हिंदी में भी उपलब्ध है — grievance@codewaala.com पर लिखें / This notice is available in Hindi on request.
1. Who runs Codewaala
Codewaala (including CodeShaala, CoderLand, CodeBattles and CodeShaala AI, on codewaala.com, code.techwaveacademy.com, codewaala.indrashikha.com and the Codewaala Android app) is operated by Indrashikha Educational (OPC) Private Limited, CIN U62011UP2018OPC104206, GSTIN 09AAECI8731P2ZU, registered office Mishirpur, Surwa, Fatanpur Raniganj, Patti, Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh 230306, India ("we", "us").
2. Who can use Codewaala
- Children under 18 may use Codewaala only (a) through their school, which has arranged parental consent, or (b) as an independent student after their parent or guardian has given verifiable consent. The parent or guardian accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the child's use of the account.
- Adults (18 and over) may sign up and accept these terms for themselves.
- Schools sign up through an authorised principal or administrator, who confirms they have authority to bind the school. School use is also covered by the school's agreement with us, including our data processing agreement.
3. Accounts and security
- Give accurate information, including a true date of birth. We use it to know whether parental consent is needed.
- Keep your password or PIN secret. Don't share your account. Tell us at grievance@codewaala.com if you think someone else used it.
- Teachers and principals are responsible for keeping student logins safe and for the student lists they upload.
4. Acceptable use
Be kind, be honest, and keep Codewaala safe for everyone. You must not:
- Cheat in CodeBattles — for example using bots, scripts, multiple accounts or shared answers to gain points.
- Bully, harass, threaten or insult anyone, or post hateful, sexual or violent content.
- Upload or type other people's personal data (names, phone numbers, addresses, photos) without permission — school staff may upload student rosters only as allowed by their school.
- Try to break, overload, scan or get unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or our systems.
- Use the CodeShaala AI builder or Help chat to create harmful, illegal, deceptive or malicious content (such as malware, phishing pages or content that harms children).
- Copy, resell or republish our lessons or platform except as these terms allow.
5. AI-generated content
The CodeShaala AI builder and Help chat use AI services (Microsoft Azure OpenAI and Google Gemini). AI answers and code can be wrong, incomplete or unexpected. Always read and test what the AI makes, and ask a teacher or parent if unsure. Do not type personal information (yours or anyone else's) into AI tools — we strip email addresses and phone numbers automatically, but please don't rely on that.
AI features for independent students under 18 work only if a parent has allowed the "AI features" purpose. See our Privacy Notice.
6. Plans and payments
Independent student plans
- In India: ₹499 for 2 months or ₹1,499 for 1 year. Outside India: US$15 per month or US$160 per year. The price shown depends on where you are connecting from.
- These are one-time payments through Razorpay. They do not auto-renew.
- A free trial gives access to selected starter content without payment.
School plans
- ₹25,000 per school per month, billed monthly through a Razorpay subscription, after a 14-day free trial. Custom pricing may be agreed in writing.
- The principal can cancel from the billing dashboard; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may change prices for future purchases with notice; changes don't affect a period you have already paid for.
7. Content and ownership
- Our lessons, problems, curriculum, software, design and brand names belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning or, for schools, for teaching your enrolled students.
- Projects you make belong to you. You give us a limited permission to store and display them only so the service can work (for example, to show your project back to you or your teacher).
- Content on a school's free website (/s/…) belongs to the school, which is responsible for it.
8. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can delete your account at any time from Privacy & data or by writing to us.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or to protect children or the service. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and explain why.
- When an account closes, data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- We work hard to keep Codewaala accurate, safe and available, but it is provided "as is". We don't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
- To the extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the DPDP Act, 2023.
- If you misuse the service in breach of these terms (for example by uploading others' personal data without permission), you agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer as a direct result.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@codewaala.com — most problems can be solved quickly (see Grievance & requests). Subject to that, the courts at Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction. Privacy complaints may also be taken to the Data Protection Board of India as explained in our Privacy Notice.

We may update these terms. Each version has a number and effective date; we will give notice of important changes before they apply. Questions: contact@codewaala.com · Grievances: grievance@codewaala.com · All contact details.
